Nowadays smart city is like a modern label for city development. Worldwide there are many kinds of city developments so called as ‚smart city‘, which have various focus.

Data intelligent 智能数据网络:

A wide range of electronic and digital applications to communities and cities, which effectively work to conflate the term with ideas about the cyber, digital, wired, information or knowledge based city. The use of information technology to transform life and work within a region in significant and fundamental ways, also bring ICTs and people together to enhance innovation, learning, and the digital infrastructure for communication and knowledge management.

Social education should include the importance of social learning, education and social capital for developing the smart city.

Resource conserving 资源保护

City development combined with environmental protection.

In general there are 4 methods to approach resource preservation:

Energy: use of renewable sources and waste heating, increase of energy efficiency and decrease energy consumption.

Mobility: density living neighbourhoods, easy accessibility for living, shopping and working, range of public transportation and convenience CO²-free (walking and cycling).

Buildings: cost-optimized zero energy buildings.

mySMARTLife - Smart Transition of EU cities towards a new concept of smart Life and Econom

The mySMARTLife project brings together the three lighthouse cities Hamburg (Germany), Helsinki (Finland) and Nantes (France) with the follower cities Bydgoszcz (Poland), Palencia (Spain), Rijeka (Croatia) and Varna (Bulgaria). Together with local small and medium enterprises (SME), industrial partners, research institutions and universities they form an inter- and transdisciplinary consortium of 28 European partners who aim to implement and practically demonstrate integrated Smart City concepts and solutions. In Hamburg, the borough of Bergedorf acts as demonstration site for the implementation of decentralized urban energy systems and energy storages, a holistic electromobility concept and interlinked digital infrastructure measures.

Rural-Urban Partnerships Motivating Regional Economies (RUMORE)

RUMORE brings together regions from five European countries. The regions of Burgas, Central Macedonia, Lombardy, Lüneburg, Twente and West Netherlands are involved in an intensive interregional learning process and work closely together to identify good examples of cluster cooperation, stakeholder involvement and knowledge transfer. The exchange of experience results in the development of new methods as well as concrete measures for improved policies in the field of regional innovation strategies.

RUMORE汇集了五个来自不同欧洲国家的地区(布尔加斯,马其顿中部,伦巴底,吕内堡,特温特和西荷兰)参与区域间学习及密切合作,建立良好实例。并通过交流经验开发出新的方法,并在区域创新战略领域中针对改进政策的具体措施。

The goal of this project is: to built the most intelligent building in Germany with the highest standard of digital comfort. All components communicate through open IP-ports. This IT-grid is working independently from all other „normal“ installations.

Cities-4-People – New approaches for community-driven sustainable mobility innovations at neighbourhood and urban district level

incorporates collective awareness and open innovation to understand the real needs of EU citizens and co-create new mobility so-lutions with them, harnessing digital and social innovation. Based on a local community setting and supported by cross-disciplinary teams and a comprehensive suite of collaborative technologies (both online and of-fline), citizens along with public and private city stakeholders will co-develop concepts and endorse concrete solutions – inspired by growing mobility trends (e.g. shared mobility and connected mobility). The best solutions will be put to the real test in a thorough pilot and scale up pro-gram in 5 different EU urban areas with rich diversity in terms of size, population density and socioeconomic context: Oxfordshire (UK), Buda-pest (Hungary), Hamburg (Germany), Trikala (Greece), and Istanbul (Turkey). In parallel, the project will introduce an open pro-cess to co-develop a common Core Outcome Set of definitions, metrics, indicators and methods to guide POTM impact assessment and place, for the first time, the citizen into the equation.

FORCE - Cities cooperating for circular economy

FORCE is linking up here and testing the innovative value chain partnership (VCP) for the development and implementation of Circular City in urban waste management. As part of the project, the four partner cities of Genoa, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Lisbon are establishing new collaborative processes between central actors of public administration, municipal enterprises and the private sector. The aim of the VCP is to develop innovative solutions for material cycles for the materials plastic, scrap metal as well as bio- and wood waste. Together, the local cooperations are testing the technical and process-related solutions of a local loop system.
