A very important aspect of sustainablity in planning processes in Europe is species protection. For each development project , proof by way of an assessment is required from investors that the living conditions of species (plants and animals/insects) are not destroyed in a way that these species cannot survive. This requires an number of different kinds of examinations and assessments.
